This year, Lok Sabha elections are slated to occur between April 19 and June 1. Candidates with exams scheduled during this period should anticipate changes to their schedules. Due to the elections, numerous competitive and entrance exams have been postponed, including the UPSC CSE prelims exam and NEET PG exam. Several other exams, such as KCET, MHT CET (PCM, PCB), TS EAPCET (EAMCET), TS POLYCET, and ICAI CA exam, are also set to coincide with the election period.
- Below is a list of exams rescheduled due to the Lok Sabha elections and other reasons:–
MHT CET (PCM and PCB) exams were initially slated to run from April 16 to April 30. Subsequently, the PCM group exams were rescheduled for May 2 to May 17, while the PCB group exam will take place from April 22 to April 30, 2024. Admit cards for MHT CET will be available to candidates 10 days before the exam.
JEE Main 2024 NTA has revised the schedule for JEE Main 2024 session 2. The exam will now be conducted from April 4 to 12, as opposed to the previous dates of April 4 to 15.
TS EAPCET 2024 exam is scheduled for May 9, 10, 11, and 12, in two shifts from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. TS EAMCET will be held in computer-based (CBT) mode for a duration of 3 hours.
TS POLYCET, initially scheduled for May 17, will now take place on May 24, lasting for 2 hours and 30 minutes between 11:00 am and 1:30 pm.
AP EAPCET 2024 exam, previously set for May 13 to 19, will now be held between May 16 and 22.
UPSC civil service exams, initially scheduled for May 26, will now be conducted on June 16, following the announcement of Lok Sabha election dates.
NEET PG 2024 will now be held on June 23, with results expected by July 15 and counseling scheduled from August 5 to October 15.
ICAI CA intermediate Group 1 exams will take place on May 3, 5, and 9, and Group 2 on May 11, 15, and 17, to accommodate the clash with election dates.
- Exam dates likely to change:–
CUET UG exams will be held from May 15 to May 31, possibly overlapping with election dates on May 20 and May 25.
- Exam dates not to be rescheduled:–
JEE Advanced 2024 is scheduled for May 26, and there are no plans to change the exam date.
NEET UG exams, scheduled for May 5, have not been revised yet.
KCET 2024 exam is set for April 18 and 19, with the registration window reopened to avoid clashes with NDA exams.
